INDIANAPOLIS —There’s a lawsuit that says one Indianapolis high school failed to protect students from a sexual groomer.
Four former students at North Central High School filed a federal lawsuit against Washington Township Schools Wednesday. The students say the district didn’t do enough to keep former theater director Nathan Shewell from verbally or sexually harassing them.
North Central fired Shewell back in 2020, and the school district is now suing him as well. They say he lied on his job application.
The students say Shewell groomed them for sex and inappropriately touched them.
