During the 2022 NFL Draft the Indianapolis Colts used two of their eight draft picks on wide receive Alec Pierce (53rd overall) and defensive tackle Curtis Brooks (216th overall), both teammates on the Cincinnati Bearcats.  On Wednesday’s Kevin & Query the guys were joined by Cincinnati Bearcats head coach Luke Fickell to get his thoughts on both guys and gives fans a peak at what they should expect when they get on the field.

They are guys who are intrinsically motivated.  Brooks came back for an extra year because he wasn’t happy and satisfied, he knew he had much more in the tank. That showed me a lot as a coach. – Cincinnati Bearcats head coach Luke Fickell on DT Curtis Brooks’ mentality

Coach Fickell talked about both guys’ strengths, their versatility and how they have developed from not very highly thought of prospects to being drafted among the 256 players in the NFL Draft.

He’s such a high-end kid.  There’s nothing average or mediocre about him.  I don’t think he’s going to be satisfied with any bit of just going to the next level. – Luke Fickell on wide receiver Alec Pierce
