New York, NY — A New York state judge is holding former President Donald Trump in contempt for failing to comply with subpoenas for business documents.
Trump will be fined $10,000 a day until he fully complies. It’s part of an investigation into the Trump Organization’s finances that’s being conducted by New York Attorney General Letitia James.
Trump has called the investigation politically motivated. His lawyers recently argued he doesn’t have documents relevant to the investigation.
