INDIANAPOLIS – IMPD says a man died in the hospital after he was shot early Sunday morning.
On Sunday, April 17, just before 1:30 a.m., IMPD officers were sent to the 2700 block of S. State Street on a report of shots being fired. When police arrived, they did not find the victim, but reported evidence that a gun had been shot in the area.
Later Sunday morning, police were dispatched to a hospital after an adult male walked in with a gunshot wound. He was admitted to the hospital in critical condition.
On Monday, police say the man died in the hospital.
IMPD homicide detectives are now investigating the shooting.
