Former Colts linebacker Gary Brackett has had a tumultuous time since his NFL career ended in 2011, most recently filing for bankruptcy with the closing of all his Stacked Pickle restaurant locations due to the coronavirus pandemic and putting his Super Bowl XLI championship ring up for auction. Despite some struggles, Brackett remains as positive as ever that brighter days are on the horizon.
On Tuesday’s edition of Kevin & Query, Brackett joined the show to discuss his involvement with the NFL Alumni Association and their partnership with the CDC in a COVID-19 vaccination and education campaign but the conversation turned to the current state of the Colts, his former teammates Cato June and Reggie Wayne landing on the coaching staff, his relationship with Jim Irsay and where he is at personally as he continues to climb out of the financial hole the pandemic put him in.

Brackett was impressed with the Colts off-season moves but he believes the biggest moves outside of acquiring quarterback Matt Ryan, was the additions of former teammates Reggie Wayne and Cato June to Frank Reich’s coaching staff.
When they tell players “I know what you’re going through, I’ve been there”, they’ve actually been there. They are great coaches and great men.
