INDIANAPOLIS–The 112th IHSAA Boys Basketball State Finals will take place Saturday at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in downtown Indianapolis.

There are four games scheduled. Six of the eight teams in the field are in the State Finals for the first time (North Daviess, Providence, Central Noble, Beech Grove, Mishawaka Marian, and Chesterton).

“That just brings a different level of excitement. I told the coaches to understand this is special, but keep it simple. Understand how big a stage this is, but don’t be scared of the stage. Make sure you have your teams prepare and do what got you here. Have fun with it along the way,” said Paul Niedig, commissioner of the Indiana High School Athletic Association.

There have been COVID restrictions during the last two boys basketball state championships, but there won’t be any this time. You have the option of wearing a mask if you want to.

“It looks normal. It feels normal and we want to keep it this way. Our kids deserve to play in front of full houses and enthusiastic crowds,” said Niedig.

The schedule for the games Saturday is as follows:

1A: North Daviess (26-3) vs Lafayette Central Catholic (20-9) at 10:30 am

2A: Providence (20-6) vs Central Noble (28-2), approximately 12:45 pm

3A: Beech Grove (21-6) vs Mishawaka Marian (24-3) at 6 pm

4A: Cathedral (25-6) vs Chesterton (29-0), approximately 8:15 pm

Gainbridge Fieldhouse will open its gates to fans beginning one hour prior to the start of each session — 9:30 am ET and 5 pm ET. The venue will be cleared between the 2A and 3A games.

Tickets can be purchased at $15 per session. All tickets are digital-only through your mobile phone and may be purchased via Ticketmaster.com (service fees apply).
