“Cleanup on aisle 46!”

President Joe Biden (God, have mercy on us, we plead) graciously blessed White House Press Secretary with yet ANOTHER PR turd to wipe up Wednesday.

Just hours after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy appealed to the U.S. Congress for more assistance in the fight against Russian forces invading his country, Brandon called Vladimir Putin a “war criminal.”

That forced White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki to clarify that Brandon was just “speaking from his heart,” but a “legal process” is still underway at the State Department to determine if Putin is guilty of war crimes.

“He was speaking from his heart and speaking from what we’ve seen on television, which is barbaric actions by a brutal dictator through his invasion of a foreign country,” Psaki said.

That’s right. The President of the United States is getting his security briefings from television. Swell.

Meanwhile, a spokesperson for the Kremlin, Dmitry Peskov, responded by saying that Biden’s comments were “unforgivable.”

“We consider unacceptable and unforgivable such rhetoric of the head of state, whose bombs killed hundreds of thousands of people around the world,” Peskov said.

The U.S. and 44 other countries are currently investigating whether possible violations and abuses by Putin qualify as “war crimes.” Another probe is underway by the International Criminal Court.
