INDIANAPOLIS – Police have arrested a teenage suspect after a man was robbed in a mall parking lot and a car was stolen.
Law enforcements says on February 26, the 15-year-old robbed a man at gunpoint at the Castleton Sqaure Mall parking lot.
Later that day, IMPD was dispatched to a stolen vehicle report nearby in the 8100 block of Castleway Court W. A man said his black 2018 Hyundai had been stolen.
The next day, another man called police to the 29000 block of E. Fall Creek Parkway for a report of a forced entry into a residence. The man said there was a block vehicle in the driveway that didn’t belong to him.
Detectives identified the juvenile suspect and searched his home on March 3. Police say they found evidence related to the crimes and the stolen vehicle was found nearby.
He was arrested on March 9. He’s facing preliminary charges of two counts of armed robbery and one count of auto theft.
