NEW YORK — The woman who accused Prince Andrew of sexual assault is asking a judge to dismiss her lawsuit.

Virginia Giuffre claimed the royal assaulted her on several occasions when she was in the control of sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and co-conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell.

In the lawsuit, Giuffre accused Epstein of trafficking her to his private island in the US Virgin Islands and forcing her to have sex with his friends, which included Prince Andrew. The documents say Andrew was aware she was underage in the US at the time.

The prince has repeatedly denied wrongdoing.

The stipulation to dismiss the case was expected after Giuffre’s lawyer reported that she and Andrew had settled out of court.  The payment amount has not been disclosed.  A New York City judge is expected to grant the request.
