INDIANAPOLIS--A woman was shot and killed on the northwest side of Indianapolis early Friday morning.

IMPD says the shooting happened at around 1:30 on Century Plaza Road, which is a business plaza near Lafayette and Georgetown roads.

When officers got there, they say they found a woman with multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency personnel rushed her to a hospital, but she did not survive.

Police believe there was a fight before the shooting.

“Solving problems by shooting and stabbing each other is not the answer. There are better ways to work it out. We’ve got a better city than that,” said IMPD Captain Don Weilhammer.

Officers are trying to find suspects.

If you have any information on this, you should call IMPD or Crimestoppers.
