PLYMOUTH, Ind.–Kenneth Lain will serve another year and a half in prison for handing his daughter off to a man who killed her in August 2021. Lain got a two and a half year sentence on neglect of a dependent charges, Friday. He was credited for a year of time served.

The child’s mother Tiffany Coburn will be sentenced on the same charge Feb. 25.

Lain pleaded guilty to the charge. He also admitted he and Coburn had done drugs before handing the baby off.

Justin Miller, who admitted to killing the 11-month-old girl, is serving 65 years in prison.

Laine’s body was found on the Marshall/Starke County line after her parents reported her missing. Miller told police he hit the girl in the head. He had been a family friend.
