IMPD: Child Hit by Hit-and-Run Driver on Indy’s West Side

INDIANAPOLIS--A child was hit by a car on Indy’s west side by a hit-and-run driver.
IMPD says it happened around 7 am Tuesday at the intersection of 34th street and High School Road. The child is a 12-year-old girl.
The child is alive and was taken to Riley Hospital for Children.
They’re still looking for the driver. Investigators do not have a confirmed vehicle description.
