FT WAYNE, Ind.–A woman was kidnapped in front of her children Saturday in Ft. Wayne. A few minutes later police say the kidnapper fired 30 shots into her SUVn, killing her. Now Ft. Wayne police are asking for any surveillance footage which could help them determine who did it.

The kidnapping was 5:15 p.m. Saturday at the woman’s home on Standish Drive, near Fairfax Ave., on the southeast side of the city.

Police say a man dressed in all black and wearing a backpack busted into the house with a short-barreled rifle, taking the woman after threatening to shoot her children, ages 12 and 15.

He forced the woman to drive four blocks away to about 2100 Stabdish Dr., where she was murdered.

Police released a short video of a person running, Monday. But, they need more.

“For those who live in this area, please review any security cameras you may have installed on your property for a suspect dressed in all black running with a rifle and black backpack,” said police.

It was unclear if the kidnapper and victim knew each other. If you can help with any info, you are asked to call Ft. Wayne Crimestoppers.
