TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind.–A woman from Lafayette was arrested for reckless driving Saturday afternoon in Tippecanoe County.
State police say Monetta Sanders, 40, was driving a 2018 Dodge Durango 102 mph on U.S. 52 in a 60 mph zone. She eventually turned westbound onto State Road 47 where a Thorntown Police Officer had placed tire deflation devices across the road.
Sanders stopped before hitting the devices and was taken into custody. There was another person in the Durango, but that person was released.
Sanders was taken to the Tippecanoe County Jail.
She is facing the following preliminary charges:
-Resisting law enforcement with a vehicle-Level 6 Felony
-Aggressive Driving-Class A Misdemeanor
-Reckless Driving-Class A Misdemeanor
