A 6-3 SCOTUS decision has put an end to an Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rule requiring vaccination or weekly testing of workers at large employers. This decision also affected a separate mandate in which the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) required vaccinations of all staff at all Medicare and Medicaid providers.

AG Todd Rokita, a lead in the fight against these mandates, joined Tony Katz Friday to discuss the win.

“The upside is that the court in both these cases focused on statutory grounds and the intent of Congress and not so much on the constitutionality of either of these…there was no holding from the Supreme Court on whether or not these were even constitutional.”

Rokita said in a press release Thursday that he is not stopping with this win as he continues to push on other mandates enforced by the Biden administration.

“The fight for liberty never stops. So we will keep working to overcome the Left’s determination to deprive Hoosiers of their rights to make their own personal health decisions.”

Other mandates Rokita is fighting include vaccinations for federal contractors and mask requirements for children and childcare staff.
