NAPLES, Fla. — An Indianapolis woman is accused of running over a Florida police officer’s foot while driving drunk on a golf cart.
According to police, Kelly Haney attempted to drive through barricades near the Naples Art Festival on Sunday.
Haney told officers it was “the only way to get to the parking garage,” reports WFTX-TV in Cape Coral.
A police report says Haney also drove over the foot of one of the responding officers when they tried to stop her.
Officers say Haney failed several field sobriety tests and was arrested. She has since bonded out of the Collier County Jail.
Haney is charged with driving under the influence. A court appearance is set for next month.
