CLAY COUNTY, Ind.–Three people were killed in a single-car crash Saturday afternoon in Clay County.
Just after 2 pm, state police say the driver of a 2004 Buick on Interstate 70 westbound and lost control of it because of icy road conditions. It rolled several times before “coming to an abrupt stop upon striking a tree.”
Emergency personnel tried to save the three people, but they died at the scene. A person under the age of 18 was also involved in the crash but was taken to a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Police don’t believe alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.
The three deceased individuals have been identified as the following:

  • Glen A. Jackson (58)
  • Rose M. Jackson (57)
  • Amber Johnson (35)
