LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Lafayette Police are investigating after a video appears to show a woman attacking a student on a school bus.

The video, posted to Facebook back on December 13th, shows a woman repeatedly hitting a student in the head with an object stuffed inside a long, black sock. At least two other students join in the attack, repeatedly stomping and hitting the other student.

Superintendent Les Huddle of the Lafayette School Corp. confirms the video was recorded on school bus. In a statement, Huddle says the woman is a parent who got involved in a conflict between some students. Huddle says the situation is now in the hands of the Lafayette Police Department.

Lafayette Police Lt. Randy Sherer says investigators were unable to locate the suspects.

Formal charges will be filed after a review by the Tippecanoe County Prosecutor’s Office.
