BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — A man barricaded himself inside of a hotel on the IU campus in Bloomington Monday night.
Police were puzzled when they got the call from dispatchers, says an IUPD spokesperson. The call was around 10:40 local time. The person who called 911 said they were at Indiana Memorial Union Hotel.
Officers got there and found a man who had barricaded himself inside of a hotel room in the building and refused to come out. Officers negotiated for a little while and eventually got the man to come out on his own.
He’s in police custody now.
