INDIANAPOLIS—A man was killed early Saturday in a shooting on the south side of Indianapolis.
That is the 246th homicide in Indianapolis in 2021, which breaks the all-time record for homicides in a single year for Indy. The city has already set a new record for murders.
Police say they were called to the 3100 block of Harlan Street just after 1 am where they found a man unresponsive inside a car with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. That is near the intersection of East Troy Avenue and South Keystone Avenue.
Officers are looking for suspects.
