RICHMOND, Ind.–A man who’s been hiding from police in Indiana for 20 years was found and arrested in Birmingham, Alabama. Larry Albert Flake will soon be returned to the Hoosier state to face charges of sexual misconduct with a minor and fleeing to avoid prosecution.
Flake was arrested on the sexual misconduct charges in 2001, after a two-year investigation, and had a court appearance scheduled at the end of August of that year. He didn’t show up.
Police didn’t know where to look, but got a tip in January 2021, about where Flake may have been hiding.
The Richmond Police Dept.Investigative Services Division and the FBI Indianapolis Field Office worked to gether with the FBI in Birmingham to locate Flake. He was arrested last week.
