INDIANAPOLIS–Police in Indianapolis say they arrested a robbery suspect on Wednesday for a robbery that happened on Tuesday. They announced the man’s arrest on Friday.

On Wednesday, IMPD says they found a vehicle that was involved in a Tuesday robbery of an AT&T store on Emerson Avenue on Indy’s southeast side near County Line Road. That’s not far from Interstate 65.

Police say the driver of that vehicle was 22-year-old Laymond Radford, who was still wearing the same clothes that he wore during the robbery the day before. Investigators say Radford tried to run from police but was quickly arrested.

There was an active warrant out for Radford’s arrest. He is also considered a suspect for a similar incident in Fishers and for theft in Marion County.

Radford was previously sentenced to a community corrections program on July 9 for an armed robbery of a T-Mobile store. Police said Radford was ordered to report to Marion County Community Corrections when he was released from jail on July 19, but he never went. The court issued ordered a no-bond arrest warrant for Radford on Oct. 27.

The passenger in the vehicle was arrested for unrelated narcotics offenses.
