WASHINGTON — Nearly 98,000 pounds of chicken burgers and sliders sold at Trader Joe’s are being recalled because they might contain pieces of bone.

The two products being recalled are one-pound cardboard packages of four chili lime chicken burgers and the nine-pound bags of 72 spinach feta chicken sliders.

The chicken products were made between Aug. 16 and Sept. 29, 2021, and shipped to stores nationwide.

The problem was discovered after manufacturer Innovative Solutions, Inc., got complaints about bone in their chicken burgers, said the USDA.

No one has reported getting sick from the burgers or sliders, but people are being advised not to eat them if they have the products in their freezers.

A list of product codes is available on the USDA website.
