We could all use some good news, and as if the Youngkin win for governor in the state of Virginia wasn’t enough, we would like to introduce you to the new New Jersey State Senator, Edward Durr.
Born and raised in South New Jersey, truck driver Ed Durr wanted to get himself a firearm. As the proclaimed “constitutional conservative” looked into the permit process his local police station told him to not even bother trying. After getting turned away, Durr decided it was finally time someone ran against seven-term Democratic State Senate President Steve Sweeney.
Spending a whopping $153 on his campaign, Durr not only beat Sweeney, but held a 2,000 vote advantage by Wednesday morning.
Durr has never held a political seat, but told Politio someone needed to stand up for the everyday voter which is something Sweeney hasn’t done in years.
“You have the debacle of unemployment. The masking of the kids in school. You have Senator Sweeney trying to take away peoples’ medical freedom rights. I think the perfect storm was that he stepped into a pile of you-know-what and couldn’t get out of it because he didn’t know which way to turn. I just tapped into the right focus.”
Durr also advocates for cutting income, corporate and other state taxes, reducing property tax, pro-life, and what started it all our Second Amendment rights.
Tony Katz says this is a great example of why Hoosiers need to have Republicans in all elections across the state. He encourages voters to stand-up for their party and run themselves.
Ed Durr is the reason why Indiana Republican Party has to run people in every election everywhere… Are you going to rely on the Republican Party? The Republican Party has proven they will let you down, that they are not interested.
Despite his new title as the Garden State’s Third District Senator, Durr still doesn’t consider himself a politician.
Sometimes we forget the opportunities we have in America, let’s not be afraid to take them. Now who’s got $153?
