Republican nominee Glenn Youngkin has won the race for governor of Virginia. Instead of accepting defeat or looking at their own platform, the Democratic Party is perpetuating the reason of their loss was that Virginia voters are racists.
A big focus of Youngkin’s campaign was education. The Republican candidate was very vocal about the widespread education-related concerns of parents, including Critical Race Theory taught in classrooms.
The Left has since made it clear that anyone who supports or voted for Youngkin is a racist. Here’s just a few examples of the left attempting to steer the narrative.
- MSNBC’s Joy Reid declared the issue White parents have with CRT is that they don’t want their children to be taught about the history of race. Reid described the Republican pushback as “code for White parents who don’t like the idea about teaching about race.”
- Meanwhile, MSNBC’s Nicole Wallace flat-out denied that critical race theory even exists in school systems.
“I think that the real ominous thing, is that critical race theory, which isn’t real, turned the suburbs 15 points to the Trump-insurrection-endorsed Republican.”
- CNN Van Jones also blamed former President Trump’s influence for the election results.
“…we have seen the emergence delta variant of Trumpism. The delta variant of Trumpism. In other words, Youngkin, same disease, but spreads a lot faster and can get a lot more places. My point is that playing on racial fears by demagoguing CRT furthers dangerous aspects of Trumpism, just in friendlier form.”
Other wins of the night included Winsome Sears, who is now the first woman and woman of color to become Virginia’s lieutenant governor. Republican Jason Miyares also claimed victory as the first Latino Virginia Attorney General.
According to the Democrats, however, Americans are still racists.
Tony Katz says they are making fools of themselves.
The bigotry of the political left is out of control…you think you’re pious, moral, and just. Your party is steeped in bigotry and wreaks of bigotry. Why are you going down this path?! If you don’t want to stop, then that’s fine, we’ll (Republicans) will keep taking the Ws.
