INDIANAPOLIS — Four teenagers were arrested early Friday morning after an armed carjacking and subsequent police chase on the west side.
IMPD told WISH-TV’s Kevin Ratermann that they got a call about a carjacking in an apartment complex near 10th street and I-465 on the west side. No one was hurt in the carjacking and when police got there they found the weapon the thieves used.
Before officers arrived, police say the perps took off in the victim’s SUV. It was spotted about a half-hour later near Washington Street and Girl School Road and officers then started chasing the thieves.
The chase ended where Morris Street dead-ends near the northbound I-465 ramp from Washington Street.
Four teenagers who were inside the SUV got out and started running away from the pursuing officers. All four were quickly apprehended.
