INDIANAPOLIS — A man has been convicted for the robbery and murder of an Indianapolis pizza delivery driver.

A jury convicted Jason Epeards of felony murder and robbery resulting in serious bodily injury in the 2018 death of Lavon Drake.

Drake was shot and killed when Epeards and two other men lured him to a vacant house on Kristen Circle. Drake was a manager-in-training at a pizza place and came in on his day off to help deliver pizzas.

Epeards is the third person convicted in Drake’s death. In July, Jasean Dale was sentenced to 60 years. Juwann Terry pleaded guilty to murder and robbery and was given 60 years in 2019.

Epeards will be sentenced in December.
