STATEWIDE-Indiana State Police are partnering with the Drug Enforcement Administration for the 21st nationwide “Prescription Drug Take Back” Day. It is scheduled for Saturday, October 23.

It runs from 10 am-2 pm Saturday. You can drop off any of your unused or unwanted prescription drugs at any Indiana State Police Post, except for the Toll Road Post.

“We do have 14 posts around the state. We will take vaping pens, but we have to take them without batteries and without the cartridges,” said Ron Galaviz, a captain with Indiana State Police.

Needles, both new and used, will not be accepted for disposal.

“This service is free and anonymous with no questions asked,” said Galaviz.
