LEBANON, Ind.–The Lebanon Fire and Police Departments say a fire that happened at a gas station last week was intentionally set.

It happened October 13 at a BP Fuel Station at 1902 Indianapolis Avenue, which is not far from the Boone County Fairgrounds.

When they looked at surveillance video, investigators say they were “clearly able to observe” Karmbir Singh, an employee of the BP Fuel Station, soaking several items in gasoline. Those items were later discovered to have been used to start the fire.

Police say Singh was also the only person present at the time of the fire. Singh sustained severe burns and injuries on October 13. He died from his injuries on October 17.
