INDIANAPOLIS — In the span of just two hours overnight, four people were shot and killed in separate shootings throughout the city.
The violence started with a shooting at an east-side hotel. Police got the call shortly after 10:30 p.m. to the Welcome Inn along Shadeland Avenue at East 30th Street where two men were found with gunshot wounds.
One of the men was pronounced dead at the scene, the other was taken to the hospital where they also died. A third victim police believe to be connected to the shooting walked into Community Hospital East around the time. He is stable.
Not even 30 minutes later, police got a call about gunshots at the intersection of East 13th Street and North Denny Street on the east side closer to downtown. Another person was found dead at the scene.
Finally, just before midnight police got another call about shots fired along Troy Avenue near South Post Road. They arrived to find a woman sitting in a car who had been shot to death.
