INDIANAPOLIS — Indy Metro Police have arrested a man for a Saturday afternoon stabbing.
Police were called to 1100 Burdsal Parkway at around 4:30 p.m. and found a man who had been stabbed multiple times.
The man was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
When officers drove to the Community Spirits across the street from the scene of the stabbing, patrons in the parking lot pointed at a man walking down the street and said that he “did it”.
Officers stopped the man, 47-year-old Christopher Baptiste, and questioned him. They then learned that Baptiste had an active warrant of Marion County for theft.
Police found a knife and additional evidence in Baptiste’s duffel bag.
Baptiste was arrested for his warrant and aggravated battery.
