INDIANAPOLIS — IndyHumane’s annual Mutt Strut, the nonprofit’s largest event of the year, is almost here!

Humans and their furry friends are invited to Victory Field on Saturday, Oct. 23 for one ‘doggone day of fun’! Participants can stretch their legs with a 1.2-mile walk outside the stadium, around the White River, and through the downtown area.

During the event, there will be food trucks, retail vendors, live entertainment provided by GEICO Philanthropic Foundation & Rock Garage, face painting, a VIP area for top fundraisers, pet costume contests, and more!

Individuals who register for Mutt Strut are asked to help raise funds for pets in need across central Indiana. The person who raises the most will be named “Top Dog” and their four-legged friend will be featured in next year’s promotional materials.

Registration for adults (age 16+) is $40. Registration for kids ages three to 15 is $30 and registration for children under three is free! If you can’t attend Mutt Strut in person, you can register virtually for $50 and will receive a Mutt Strut t-shirt and other promotional items by mail.

“We are really looking forward to returning to an in-person event this year,” said IndyHumane CEO David Horth. “Mutt Strut is not only our largest annual fundraiser which allows us to save thousands of pets in central Indiana, it’s a great opportunity to celebrate the pet-loving community of Indianapolis.”
