After being traded to the Pacers in January 2021, LeVert was forced to sit out after an MRI revealed that he had kidney cancer. A procedure was done to remove the mass on his kidney and LeVert made a full recovery.
The Pacers discovered the mass when LeVert went through a physical. LeVert said the physical saved his life.
LeVert played in 35 games for the Pacers in 2021. He averaged 20 points, five rebounds, and five assists per game.
The NBA regular season begins October 19. The Pacers’ first regular season game is October 20 against Charlotte.
