CARMEL, Ind. — Three people suffered minor injuries after a car crashed into a dealership in Carmel late Tuesday morning.

The Carmel Fire Department says the car drove right through the glass windows of Tom Wood Nissan and crashed onto the showroom floor.

“Extensive damage to the building,” said CFD Public Information Officer Tim Griffin. “Fortunate though, because it’s an area that could’ve obviously had many people standing around or sitting around.”

Griffin says two of the people who were hurt were sitting inside one of the vehicles for sale when it got hit by the other car.

Griffin believes the driver of the car that crashed had a medical emergency.
