INDIANAPOLIS — One person was seriously hurt after being hit by a car Thursday morning on Indy’s east side.
At around 8:30 a.m., IMPD officers were called to a crash in the area of Shadeland Ave. just south of 21st Street.
Officers arrived and found that a person in a motorized wheelchair had been hit by a vehicle.
According to WISH-TV’s Kevin Ratermann, the driver involved in the crash appeared to remain at the scene.
The person who was hit was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
