EVANSVILLE, Ind. — A Princeton man was arrested after making threats towards Evansville Mayor Lloyd Winnecke.
Last month, David Hippensteel wrote a letter and mailed it to Mayor Lloyd Winnecke’s office. The letter said the mayor “has no spine” and he could “smash Mayor Winnecke’s head like a watermelon.”
Then, last Friday, WFIE says the 62-year-old called the mayor’s office and demanded to have a face-to-face meeting, and said he was coming in to “slap Mayor Winnecke like a bitch.”
Hippensteel faces two charges of intimidation.
