INDIANAPOLIS — Some people call her an icon. The WNBA simply calls her one of the best.
To commemorate its 25th season, the WNBA released “The W25,” a list of its 25 greatest players.
On the list with players like Sue Bird, Elena Delle Donne, and Lisa Leslie is Indiana Fever legend, Tamika Catchings.
During her fourteen years with the Fever, Catchings racked up a number of awards and honors. She was a five-time WNBA Defensive Player of the Year, 12-time All-WNBA selection, 12-time All-Defensive pick, and a 10-time All-Star.
Catchings captured the 2011 MVP award and led the Fever to the WNBA title.
She was also a part of the 2020 Naismith Hall of Fame Induction Class.
