DALEVILLE, Ind. — A Daleville man is charged with the murder of a family member.

Daleville Police were called to South Walnut Street for an unconscious person around 2:45 Sunday morning. That’s where police found Trent Kreegar and Robert Huffman Jr.

Huffman was unconscious, and Kreegar was trying to use CPR to revive what police later learned to be his grandfather. Officers and medics tried their best to save Huffman, but it was too late.

Huffman was 67-years-old.

Police learned that Kreegar and Hoffman got into an argument Saturday night, and at some point that argument became violent. Huffman suffered some sort of “fatal injury”, according to Indiana State Police.

An autopsy has been scheduled to find out what exactly caused Huffman’s death.

Kreegar was arrested and transported to the Delaware County Justice Center. He faces one felony murder charge.
