INDIANAPOLIS — The death of a two-month-old boy was a homicide, according to Indy Metro Police.
On Monday, Aug. 30, police were called to IU West Hospital on a report of an injured baby boy.
“Despite best life-saving efforts provided by medical staff, the child was pronounced deceased shortly after arrival to the hospital,” IMPD said Friday.
Child abuse detectives were called to investigate and determined the child’s death was a homicide.
The Marion County Coroner’s Office will determine how and why the baby died.
The child’s name will be released once the family has been notified.
