MARION, Ind. — A 15-year-old boy was injured Wednesday night in a drive-by shooting in Marion.

Officer Joe Biddle was patrolling the south side of town at around 10 p.m. when he spotted a teenager that had been shot.

Witnesses told police the teenager was sitting inside his car at the intersection of 30th and South Washington Streets when an SUV pulled up beside him and fired several shots.

The boy was shot in the leg but is expected to be okay.

One woman nearby told police that a bullet went through her driver’s side window, but no one was injured.
