National Institutes of Health (NIH) Director Francis Collins pulled back from comments made earlier in the day suggesting that parents wear masks at home to protect their unvaccinated children.

Early Tuesday, Collins told CNN that there are numerous examples of young people being sickened by the Delta strain of the Coronavirus.  He went on to make a non-specific recommendation that kids under 12 avoid being in places where they might get infected, adding that universal masking should be implemented at schools and parents should ‘mask up’ at home regardless of vaccination status.

“Parents of unvaccinated kids should be thoughtful about this and the recommendation is to wear masks there as well,” Collins said. “I know that’s uncomfortable, I know it seems weird, but it is the best way to protect your kids.”

Apparently not.

Mere hours after making his recommendation, Collins tweeted that he “garbled” his own message: “Vaccinated parents who live in communities with high COVID transmission rates should mask when out in public indoor settings to minimize risks to their unvaccinated kids. No need to mask at home.”

The reversal is yet another example of the NIH sending mixed messages in the battle against the pandemic.

No wonder the American public has lost all faith and trust in the credibility of the Federal government.

The suggestion from the NIH that a COVID-19 booster is unnecessary coincidentally comes at a time when the World Health Organization has asked for a halt to booster shots in order to concentrate on distributing the vaccine to the unvaccinated.

Remember when they told us masks would not protect against the virus in order to avoid a shortage for healthcare workers.

Meanwhile, as the Biden administration is looking for ways to strongarm Americans into getting the vaccine, it is simultaneously allowing thousands of unvaccinated, COVID-positive migrants into the country and shipping them to cities all across the U.S. And what happened when Texas Governor Greg Abbott issued an Executive Order to halt transportation of migrants? The Biden administration filed a lawsuit.

Silver lining: Democrats are going to get slaughtered in the midterm elections.

“Rejoice! Again, I say, rejoice!”
