INDIANAPOLIS — An Indianapolis man will spend 50 years in prison for shooting and killing 15-year-old Peter Lambermont in Jan. 2020.
In June, a jury convicted Jakeb Wells of murder and carrying a handgun without a license.
Before the murder, Wells and another person picked up Lambermont and took him to a house, where he was shot and killed. Text messages and cell phone data revealed that Wells was in the area of the murder at the time it happened.
In March 2020, a witness told police Wells admitted that he was the one who killed Lambermont. Additionally, a Snapchat video from the day after the murder showed Wells pointing a gun and rapping about killing someone he knew.
