INDIANAPOLIS — A Fort Wayne man has been arrested for a shooting that happened Sunday morning in downtown Indianapolis.
IMPD officers heard multiple gunshots at around 3:30 a.m. in the area of 30 E. Georgia Street. There, officers found a person who had been shot.
A witness identified the shooter as 26-year-old Carnell Williams of Fort Wayne. Police also found the gun they believe was used in the shooting.
A short time later, Indiana State Police found and arrested Williams for criminal recklessness and carrying a handgun without a license.
Police have not shared the name of the victim.
