INDIANAPOLIS — The woman who was shot and set on fire on the west side of Indianapolis has died, say police.
Police were called to the 1100 block of Medford Ave. on the morning of July 9. When IMPD officers arrived, they found 44-year-old Laura Gentry suffering from gunshot wounds and burns.
Gentry was taken to a hospital. She died of her injuries on Monday.
The Marion County Coroner’s Office said on Thursday that Gentry died of “complications of mixed modularity trauma; thermal burns and gunshot wounds.”
Police have not identified any suspects.
