INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Fire Department worked Wednesday morning to put out a fire at the Central Brace & Limb Company building north of downtown.

Firefighters were called to the building at 19th Street and Capitol Avenue shortly before 6 a.m.

Firefighters searched the building and did not find anyone inside.

It took about half an hour for IFD to get the fire out.

IFD says one firefighter overheated and was taken to Methodist Hospital to be checked out.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
