GREENFIELD, Ind. — A man is in the hospital after being hit by a car Wednesday morning in Greenfield.
A car was headed east on New Road just after 3 a.m. when it hit a 38-year-old man who was walking westbound in the eastbound lanes.
The driver of the car, 22-year-old Riley Robinson, stopped and called 911. Robinson is cooperating with the police and will not be criminally charged.
The man was taken to IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis with serious injuries. His identity will not be shared by the police until his family is notified.
