INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis Metropolitan Police are releasing an explanation of a recent shooting involving two of its officers.

Police responded to a domestic disturbance at a home near Washington Street and Colorado Avenue on May 31.

Curtis Walker was inside threatening his girlfriend, but according to a new Critical Incident Video, he came out and lunged at officers with a knife.

Officers William Fulton and Theodore Howlett fired their guns at Walker, who survived his injuries and now faces charges.

IMPD’s Critical Incident Response Team and Internal Affairs are still looking into the incident.
