INDIANAPOLIS — A keeper at the Indianapolis Zoo was injured while working with the warthogs, said the Zoo.
The incident happened Tuesday morning while the keeper was working with the warthogs in an off-exhibit holding area.
The keeper was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Zoo said that staff responded immediately and emergency personnel were on site in minutes.
The incident is being investigated.
