CARLISLE, Ind. — Two men have been arrested for the fatal shooting of a 15-year-old girl in Sullivan County.
Mezmariah Wilson, of Shelburn, was shot at around midnight Thursday as two groups gathered at an intersection in Carlisle.
Matthew Earle and Kyle Johnson were arrested Saturday. The men face charges of criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon and obstruction of justice, and more charges are possible.
Indiana State Police say the groups had gathered in anticipation of a fight when someone pulled out a gun and started shooting, hitting Wilson in the upper body.
Wilson was taken to a hospital, where she died.
