INDIANAPOLIS — This weekend might be a good time to hit the pool, as the heat and humidity will continue.

Highs across Indiana will be around 90 degrees on Saturday, but WISH-TV Meteorologist Marcus Bailey says the muggy conditions will make it feel even hotter.

“Probably looking at heat indices in, at least, the mid-90s, but you could be pushing close to those triple digit numbers before the rain arrives in the afternoon hours,” Bailey said.

He says that chance of rain, and thunderstorms, won’t last too long Saturday afternoon. Downpours are possible, but he isn’t expecting anything severe.

Highs will still be in the upper 80s for most of Indiana on Sunday and Monday, before a cool down arrives later next week.

“We’ll be back to normal, with highs around 80.” Bailey said. “There could be a couple days where we’re only in the upper 70s.”

He adds that lows next week will dip down into the 50s, meaning your A/C can take a break, and you can open up the windows at night.
